How to read a bonus properly
A big headline percentage means little without wagering rules. Treat every offer as a contract, not a gift.
-
Find what the multiplier applies to
30× on the bonus alone is very different from 30× on bonus + deposit. On a €100 deposit with 100% match, bonus+deposit wagering can double the work versus bonus-only terms.
-
Calculate the playthrough total
Multiply the relevant amount by the wagering figure. A €50 bonus at 35× means €1,750 in total bets before withdrawal — not €50 lost. Lower multipliers (under 25× on bonus only) are generally more realistic.
-
Check game contribution rates
Slots usually count 100%. Blackjack, roulette, and live tables often count 5–20%, which silently multiplies effective wagering. Playing the wrong games can stall clearance for weeks.
-
Watch max bet and expiry rules
Many bonuses cap stakes at around €5 per spin while active. One breach can void winnings. Note the expiry too — 7–14 day windows are common and tight for high wagering.
-
Look for win caps
Some offers cap withdrawable winnings from bonus play (e.g. 5× bonus or a fixed cash limit). A flashy match bonus with a low cap may be worse than a smaller, uncapped offer.
-
Smaller can beat bigger
A €50 bonus at 20× often beats a €500 bonus at 50× with table-game restrictions. Compare wagering and restrictions, not banner size.
